We recently had the pleasure of performing our outdoor production “Three of a Kind” at the KRE:Π Festival in Banska Bystrica. From the very first contact, we were struck by the enthusiasm, efficiency and flexibility of Záhrada - Centrum nezávislej kultúry. Despite the considerable expense of including an international company in the programme, everything was done to make our participation possible, whether that be providing us with the necessary documents for our travel subsidy application with the Belgian government or ensuring that the necessary locations for the performance were made available. Here is just a selection of points with which we felt great attention and care had been taken. Transfer to and from Budapest airport 3 single rooms in a very comfortable 3 star hotel close to the town centre Free choice of restaurants in which meals could be taken An open tab in the theatre bar A spacious private dressing room in which to warm up and get changed A highly competent technical staff willing to provide whatever was necessary to make the performance work as well as possible A whole team of attentive and friendly helpers regularly assuring that all was well and providing us with whatever backstage comforts we might need. In short Záhrada is in our opinion a highly dynamic, hard-working team of young people, committed to offering a rich and diverse programme of cultural events in their town. They are as open-minded as they are audacious and perhaps one of the most hospitable and supportive organisations with whom we have ever had the pleasure to collaborate. We highly recommend them for their vision, their spirit and their determination and we sincerely hope they receive whatever support they require to continue and develop their project.
